Pieces with “playback” come with a sound file (wav) which can be played by a variety of computer programs: Quicktime, iTunes, Ableton Live, etc. Any piece you purchase with playback comes with a reasonable amount of email support before the first performance—probably an email or two depending on your experience with electronic music.

All pieces with “electronics” use the program SuperCollider. I only have the ability to test how they function on a Mac, but they should work on Linux and Windows as well. I can only guarantee their function on a Mac and have not used SuperCollider on Linux or Windows. These pieces generally require an audio input into the computer as well as output. This is typically achieved with an external sound card (audio interface). Any piece you purchase with electronics comes with a reasonable amount of email support for a few years. Before the first performance, I can help you get things up and running. Over the next couple of years, as computers and programs are updated, we can be in touch if anything goes wrong.
